The New Dawn (TND)

[TND] The New Dawn guild emblem with golden skull and wings shield in fantasy game poster style.

Welcome to The New Dawn!

We are active, friendly, and we understand that real life comes before all. If you’re going to be absent for a while just let the leadership know…that’s all we ask since our member spots are limited. We will let you go if you’re gone for an extended period of time and we don’t know you’re coming back. If this happens please don’t take it personal. Just contact us and express your desire to return.

On this server (#625) there are three major gangs:
** The New Dawn (TND)
** Killed in Action (KIA)

In TND our motto is, “TND, getting shit done with the bare minimum!” We are laid back and our major concern at the moment is learning. We’re too small to compete right now. Our plan is to stick together and learn through the first pass of this game. We will focus on competing the second time around.

Yes, TND has a Captain but we strive to be a true democratic crew. As Captain I will make time sensitive decisions but my focus is to make time to vote on all things that effect you.

Gang Morals:

  • We do not attack those that are auto trading unless told otherwise by leadership through announcements.
  • If a member leaves our gang. Don’t attack them unless they attack you.

Example: Perhaps you’re auto trading and you get attacked by one of the ally gangs. Maybe they are testing you. Maybe they want to see how you react to it. Assume there is a process behind the scenes. Think about it.

I am Diablo Cortez, R5 Captain in TND and maintainer of this training information. As a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Navy I do bring you real life leadership. As a leader, the first thing I know is that I can’t do my job without the crew (you). This means that when I’m online your training, growth, and well being is my priority. I grow while you grow…not the other way around. The ports and towers we take are ours and not mine. One major thing you’ll notice is that I’m a communicator. My attitude is a very specific mixture.

My leadership and attitude styles are a fusion of Captains Charles Vane and Edward Kenway. I’m firm, but fair. If a statement needs to be made then we’ll make it together. I will not make a decision that the entire crew is not onboard with. You come first and I will go to drastic measures to prove it! I don’t know everything, will never act like I know everything, and in reality. I don’t want to know everything. That would make life and Sea of Conquest quite boring.

Welcome aboard the best crew in Sea of Conquest! ANCHORS AWAY MATES!!

Rank Structure:

R5 = Captain/Moderator
R4 = Captain’s right hands. They take charge when necessary to carry out our plan.
R3 = R4’s in training.
R2 = New members that have proven themselves.
R1 = New members checking out our scenery.

General Lessons Learned:

  • The first transition to a new Season/Sea (S1 –> S2) ports that can be opened are limited therefore emblems (coins you get when opening ports) are limited. These are spent in Cartographer’s Corner to buy Trinkets. Until the new Season’s Gates open spend them all on Trinkets.
  • If you didn’t complete the map in the last season the mist will be cleared, but will still cost 1 Golden Compass to explore it.
